Kirk L. Smick, OD, FAAO (moderator)
Dr. Smick is an owner and chief of optometry services at Clayton Eye Center in Morrow, Ga. He has been awarded the “Optometrist of the Year” award for the state of Georgia and also served as President of the Georgia Optometric Association, the Georgia State Board of Examiners in Optometry and the Southern Council of Optometrists. Dr. Smick is a frequent lecturer in the U.S. and abroad and currently serves as Chairman of the Continuing Education Committee for the International Vision Expo meetings. He is an advisory board member at Allergan, AMO, Arctic Dx, Bausch + Lomb, Essilor, Humana Insurance, Merck, Reed Exhibitions, Signet Armorlite and Transitions Optical. He is a speaker for AMO, Arctic Dx, CooperVision, Essilor and Transitions Optical.
Philip Lo, OD
Dr. Lo practices at Queen Anne Eye Clinic, a two-doctor practice in Seattle, Wash. He was previously the Clinical Director at TLC Laser Eye Center in Bellevue, Wash. Dr. Lo is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Optometric Physicians of Washington, and the King Count Optometric Society, of which he is a past president. He has received lecture/authorship honoraria from CooperVision.
Ashley K. McFerron, OD
Dr. McFerron is a 2008 graduate of the Oklahoma College of Optometry at Northeastern State University. She owns Canby Eyecare in Canby, Ore., and was recently named the 2013 Oregon Young Optometrist of the Year. Dr. McFerron is a member of the board of directors of the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association. She has received lecture/authorship honoraria from CooperVision.
John McIntyre, OD
Dr. McIntyre practices in a seven-doctor practice in Corpus Christi, Texas. He is a member of the Texas Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association and the Corpus Christi Optometric Society. Dr. McIntyre has received lecture/authorship honoraria from Alcon and CooperVision, and has received travel stipends from Bausch + Lomb.
Kevin M. Reeder, OD
Dr. Reeder is a San Diego native and a 1988 graduate of UC Berkeley School of Optometry. He is part of a four-doctor multi-specialty practice in North San Diego. His areas of interest include specialty contact lens fitting, including all multifocal designs, and irregular corneas. Dr. Reeder has performed contact lens research for several contact lens companies, including Alcon, Allergan, Ciba Vision, and Polymer Technology. He was an FDA clinical investigator for Paragon Vision Sciences for Corneal Refractive Therapy. He has received lecture/authorship honoraria from CooperVision.
