These free continuing education courses, brought to you by Contact Lens Spectrum, are offered in conjunction with the New England College of Optometry and supported by an educational grant from The Vision Care Institute™, LLC, a Johnson & Johnson company. The courses are approved by Council on Optometric Practitioner Education (COPE) for credits for optometrists and by the National Contact Lens Examiners (NCLE) for opticians as noted.

Instructions:
To obtain credit for each course, you must:
  1. Be a licensed optometrist or an NCLE-certified contact lens fitter.
  2. Read and study the course presented.
  3. Complete the test at the end of the course.
  4. Obtain a grade of 70 percent or higher on the exam.
There is no tuition or processing fee to you. The CE is subsidized by The Vision Care Institute™ to support your professional enhancement.

Optometrists
After reviewing the material in this course, you can take the test whenever you're ready. The test will appear on the following screen, and you'll be asked to supply some personal information. After completing the test, press the submit button. Please press the button only once. Your test will be graded instantly and your score will be displayed. If you have passed the test, you'll be given a link to print your certificate immediately.

Note: Each optometry state board has specific regulations about recognizing correspondence and online courses for continuing education certification. If you have questions about your particular state, please confirm with your state board.

Opticians
After reviewing the material in this course, you can take the test whenever you're ready. The test will appear on the following screen, and you'll be asked to supply some personal information. After completing the test, press the submit button. Please press the button only once. Your test will be graded instantly and your score will be displayed. If you have passed the test, you will be notified and you certificates will be sent to you. Please print this notification page as a temporary record and retain until your official certificate arrives. For information regarding your CE credits and/or certificates, opticians only can call (215) 643-8042. Please allow 8 weeks for processing, which will be done in the order that they are received.

Educating Patients About UV Radiation
