has introduced three new eye models: the ICL, Corneoplastique and the EPI. Gulden
developed these models to help practitioners explain to patients various conditions
and procedures that may be difficult to understand or about which patients may be
apprehensive. These models allow a doctor or technician to quickly and completely

3D Vision System for Microscopes
TrueVision Systems,
Inc. has introduced the TrueVision Microsurgery Teaching System, a 3D vision system
for microscopes that frees users from looking through eyepieces. TrueVision Systems
says it's an ideal teaching and collaboration tool for ophthalmology and for other
disciplines in which a microscope is used. TrueVision converts the optical 3D image
viewed through the microscope to a 3D, high-definition digital image that's displayed
on a projection screen in real time, according to TrueVision.
The
TrueVision System consists of a plug-and-play, portable ergonomic cart with everything
needed to transport and run the system. It can be retrofitted to existing stereomicroscopes
by replacing the eyepiece module with the TrueVision Image Capture Module, according
