Bausch + Lomb has introduced PureVision2 Multi-Focal For Presbyopia, a monthly silicone hydrogel multifocal contact lens packaged in borate-buffered saline. Featuring a next-generation 3-Zone Progressive design, these innovative lenses are designed to improve near and intermediate vision while providing excellent distance clarity, according to the company. B+L says that the innovative lens design allows for a predictable, quick fit.

New GP Multifocal Available
Art Optical has introduced mPower!, a new custom GP multifocal lens designed specifically for presbyopes who have high near vision demands.
The new product line features multiple frontsurface power zones and minimal base-curve eccentricity, offering maximum near vision without compromising distance visual acuity or creating corneal molding concerns, according to the company. Art Optical says that the simultaneous power effect promotes effortless and translation-free accommodation. A controllable first front zone allows practitioners to adjust for pupil diameter, providing an individualized, highperformance multifocal contact lens experience for each patient.
mPower! is indicated for patients who have worn high-eccentricity back-surface multifocals and experienced the typical problems with corneal molding, and for those patients who have experienced poor near vision with other multifocal designs. Parameters include base curves of 7.00mm to 8.50mm, a standard diameter of 9.60mm, a power range of ±20.00D, and an add power range of +1.00D to +3.50D. CooperVision Expands Parameters of Two SiHy Lenses
CooperVision has launched its Biofinity XR lens brand and expanded its Avaira Toric lens.
The extension of its popular Biofinity silicone hydrogel (comfilcon A) lens significantly expands Biofinity's range of sphere powers, allowing practitioners to confidently fit a greater number of monthly replacement lens patients, according to the company. CooperVision says that this includes wearers who have significant hyperopia or myopia currently using other lens brands or spectacles.

Biofinity XR lenses will be available in powers from +8.50D to +15.00D and from -12.50D to -20.00D in 0.50D steps. The existing Biofinity line will continue to be available in +8.00D to -12.00D powers. CooperVision says that the Biofinity and Biofinity XR sphere lines now represent the widest available range of silicone hydrogel contact lenses from any major manufacturer.
CooperVision also recently added a cylinder power of -2.25D to its Avaira Toric lens to further broaden the brand's range and potential wearer base. Avaira toric lenses are now available in sphere powers of -6.00D to +6.00D in 0.25D steps and -6.50D to -10.00D in 0.50D steps; cylinder powers of -0.75D, -1.25D, -1.75D, and -2.25D; and axes from 10 degrees to 180 degrees in 10-degree steps.
