As you finalize goals and plans for 2017 for your practice be certain to spend time evaluating which products are going to be a part of your strategic plan. A recent consumer survey showed that 40 million people (76% female) are extremely or very interested in wearing color contact lenses, which suggests enormous untapped potential for our practices. Knowing this, it makes sense to consider including cosmetic contact lenses in your strategic plan for 2017.

Create loyal patients by making the patient experience unforgettable and repeatable.
Train your entire team utilizing the educational tools provided by lens manufacturers on their website.
Create a folder to be presented to each patient at the front desk with information regarding colors and discuss rebate information.
On the telephone when making appointments utilize “and” instead of “or” i.e. “Will you be making an appointment for glasses and contacts today”?
Link Air Optix Colors Color Studio to your website to create interest and allow patient to play with colors before they come in.
Create a message regarding colors for your On-Hold phone messaging system.
Doctors transfer your patients to your team in the exam room giving your patients permission to try on colors.
Create a simple and fun try on process utilizing the Air Optix Colors Color Selection Guide.
Consider designing a fun photo wall for patients to capture and share images of themselves in their new colors.
Develop an email campaign to educate your patients about colors throughout the year emphasizing rebates and promotions you are running in the practice.
Have a consistent process to sell annual supplies and colors as full time wear or supplemental wear at check out.
