This paper, “Case Series Analysis of Myopic Progression Control With a Unique Extended Depth of Focus Multifocal Contact Lens,” was published in Eye & Contact Lens in late 2017 by Cooper, et al.  This paper demonstrated that the NaturalVue® (etafilcon A) Multifocal 1 Day Contact Lenses are effective in slowing myopic progression with respect to refractive error.  The data represented a reduction in the annualized rate of myopic progression in over 98% of children, and an overall 81% demonstrated a complete halting of the progression of myopia.  This paper helps lead us to clinical decisions, as this retrospective data was collected from real world clinical practices with patients presenting as you would see them in yours.
