CooperVision announced the promotion of Jennifer Palombi, OD, to director of professional affairs, Americas, and Felicia Timmermann, OD, MS, to senior advisor, myopia management, US. As director of professional affairs, Americas, Dr. Palombi is responsible for the function’s strategy across the region, unifying activities across CooperVision’s product portfolio, including professional education and development, industry relations, legislative advocacy, key customer engagement, and academic affairs. She joined CooperVision in 2017. Prior to that, Dr. Palombi was in practice for 20 years in a variety of settings—including corporate, hospital-based, private, and collaborative optometry-ophthalmology practices—while also serving as a freelance medical writer.
Dr. Timmermann has devoted much of her career to advocating for myopia management and pediatric health. In her new role, she will play a critical part in shaping and advancing CooperVision’s myopia management strategy across the United States. Prior to joining CooperVision in 2022, Dr. Timmermann held leadership roles in academia, including establishing and directing Nova Southeastern University’s myopia management service.
