Optometry Giving Sight (OGS) announced the appointment of Tony Sommer to its board of directors, bringing with him extensive leadership experience in specialty vision care, medical technology, and organizational growth.

Most recently, Sommer served as General Manager, Americas, for CooperVision and CooperVision Specialty EyeCare, where he led growth across the United States, Canada, and Latin America.

Other members of the OGS board include Juan Carlos Aragón, OD; Susan Cooper, OD; Luigi Bilotto, OD; John Flanagan, PhD, FCOptom; Millicent Knight, OD; Paul Karpecki, OD; Susy Yu, OD MBA; Meng Xu, OD, MPH; and Dan McBride.
